Biomass

Biomass is a basic organic resource used throughout the early and mid game. It is gathered from vegetation across the map and can also be crafted in a Greenhouse using Biomass, Ore, and Water. In practice, it is one of the first materials players stockpile because of how broadly it is consumed before higher-tier power and production options become available.

Its most important role is as fuel. In the early phases of the game, Biomass is a primary fuel source for Biomass Burners and for various machinery, making it essential for keeping an initial base running until the Burner Generator is unlocked through Research Servers. Because of this, players usually want a steady supply of Biomass before expanding power-hungry production lines.

Biomass is also used as a crafting component in a wide range of recipes. It appears in the production of office furniture, explosives, decorative blocks, and tools, so even after better fuels become available it remains relevant as a general-purpose industrial ingredient.

Practical uses and acquisition points:

• Gather it by harvesting trees, plants, and other organic sources scattered around the map.
• Craft it in a Greenhouse with Biomass, Ore, and Water.
• Use it to keep Biomass Burners and other early machinery supplied before higher-tier power is unlocked.
• Reserve some stock for crafting, since it is used in furniture, explosives, decorative pieces, and tools.

Because Biomass has both fuel and crafting demand, it is worth treating it as a shared strategic resource rather than burning it immediately. Collecting vegetation during exploration and maintaining a production loop in a Greenhouse helps avoid shortages during early expansion.
