REDACTION Grenade

The REDACTION Grenade is a thrown explosive that detonates after a short delay and creates a black hole-like effect at the point of impact. When activated, it pulls in players, enemies, and loose objects within its range, making it a disruptive crowd-control item rather than a conventional damage grenade.

It is obtained only through crafting. Because it affects both hostile targets and allies, it has to be used carefully in close quarters: a badly timed throw can drag the user or nearby teammates into the blast area along with whatever enemies were meant to be trapped. The suction also interacts with the environment, so clutter, dropped items, and furniture can be pulled toward the center as well.

Practical use cases include:

• grouping enemies together before following up with a weapon or another explosive
• interrupting enemy positioning by dragging them out of cover or into hazards
• clearing loose objects from an area by pulling them into a single point
• controlling chokepoints, especially when enemies are approaching in a tight formation

Because the grenade has a delay before it triggers, placement matters. Throwing it ahead of moving enemies can catch them as they advance, while throwing it too close to the user can result in being caught in the suction radius. Its ability to pull in objects also makes it useful in cramped interiors where debris and furniture can get in the way, but that same property can create additional clutter if used carelessly.

The REDACTION Grenade is most effective when the player can predict enemy movement and wants to force multiple targets into a confined area at once.
