Bamboo Bed

Bamboo Bed is a furniture item used to decorate rooms, and it can be crafted at a Carpenter's Bench. Like all beds, it is primarily useful as a spawn point and resting place, making it one of the most important early utility objects for a base.

Beds have several practical functions beyond decoration. When used, they set your spawn point, let you heal while sleeping, and can fast-forward time at 20× speed. This makes a bed valuable both for convenience and for surviving after death, since you can return directly to a prepared base instead of relying on the default respawn area.

A bed only functions properly if the room around it is not too large. The maximum room size for a bed to work is 500 tiles; if the room exceeds that limit, the game will display the message "Cannot Set Spawn Outside". If the bed that was used to set your spawn point is destroyed, your spawn point will revert to near the elder's house.

In multiplayer, time only fast-forwards if all players are in a bed. This means a single player staying awake will prevent the sleep cycle from advancing, so coordinated use is required when sharing a world with others.
