Monster Training
RarityRare

Overview
Monster Training is a relic added in v0.5.37 and later renamed from Monster’s Pact to Monster Training in v0.5.41, when it was also added to the main game in Early Access. Its effect is tied to an activation threshold that depends on maximum health.
Because the trigger scales with max health, low max health makes Monster Training activate more often. Any relic that increases maximum health shifts the activation threshold, so it is worth considering before picking up health-related upgrades. More broadly, health relics greatly reduce how often Monster Training comes into play, so it is strongest in builds that keep max health low and avoid health-increasing effects.
- Low max health increases the frequency of activation.
- Max health relics change the activation threshold.
- Health relics in general diminish its effect, so they work against a Monster Training-focused build.
