Overview

Behemoth biter is the largest and most powerful melee variant of the biter family, the primary native land enemies on the planet. It appears as the final growth stage of biters and is encountered once evolution progresses; its role is to close with player bases, break defenses and directly bite targets. Behemoth biters have very high health and damage, are fast for their size, and are capable of breaking walls to attack things behind them.

Behemoth biter statistics and behaviour:

  • Health: 3000.
  • Damage: 90 physical damage per hit.
  • Attack speed: 1.2 attacks per second.
  • Movement speed: 64.8 km/h.
  • Attack range: 1.5.
  • Pollution required to trigger an attack: 400.
  • Combat role: close‑range melee attacker that can break player walls and reach structures behind defenses.
  • Resistances: significantly more resistant to physical and explosive damage than smaller biter types.

Practical notes for dealing with Behemoth biters:

  • They are effectively immune to light firearms and small-calibre defenses; small guns and early turrets do little damage against them. Only high-damage and high-penetration weapons (for example heavy artillery and large-calibre defenses) reliably harm them at scale.
  • Because they can destroy walls, walls alone are insufficient as a long-term defense once behemoth biters appear; layered defenses with heavy turrets, artillery, combat robots, or strong damage-over-time areas are necessary.
  • Their attack is melee, so maintaining range with long-range weapons (artillery, laser systems, or long-range turrets) reduces their ability to damage your infrastructure directly.
  • Behemoth biters spawn as part of normal biter evolution; freeplay starts with only small biters and larger forms, including behemoths, appear as evolution increases. Managing pollution and keeping expansion of your base balanced delays the appearance of behemoth biters.
  • When nests (spawners) produce larger biters, they become progressively harder to stop; scouting and preemptive strikes against spawners help prevent large mass attacks that include behemoth biters.

Behemoth biters represent a late-stage combat challenge and require heavy, well-planned defenses or offensive action to control.
