Overview

Freight Elevator II is a building used to create a vertical freight elevator shaft. It automatically excavates the terrain between its bottom and top segments, making it a practical way to open a continuous passage through solid ground or rock.

To function, it must be placed in pairs: one top segment and one bottom segment. Once both pieces are placed, they establish a valid freight elevator, and the two ends can be positioned at any height in the world. This makes it useful for connecting distant depths or surface levels without manually tunneling the full shaft.

  • The elevator clears the space between the two placed segments automatically.
  • Both the top and bottom parts are required; a single segment does not form a working elevator.
  • The two ends do not need to share the same elevation, so it can span large vertical differences.
