Duck Breast

Duck Breast is a raw food item obtained by killing a Duck. It can be eaten directly or used as an ingredient in Cooking.

When the player consumes Duck Breast, it applies a negative effect for 4 minutes, reducing maximum health by 10. Because of this drawback, it is usually more useful as a crafting ingredient than as emergency food, unless no better food is available.

NPCs can also consume Duck Breast, and for them it provides +10% Happiness. This makes it a straightforward food option for supporting NPC morale when managing settlements or other NPC needs.

Duck Breast has a spoilage time of 4 hours, so it does not stay fresh for very long. If you are storing several copies, it is worth keeping an eye on spoilage and using it before it expires. Since it comes from Ducks, it is most commonly acquired while hunting or farming those creatures, making it a renewable source of both meat and cooking material.
