Frost Greatsword

Frost Greatsword is a charged greatsword that creates visual effects around the player at each of its three charge stages. It is one of the earliest strong melee weapons available, and is considered the best greatsword obtainable before the first boss fight.

The weapon only actually swings when it is charged to level 1. Charging further does not change its attack pattern, but it increases the damage: level 2 deals 1.5 times damage and level 3 deals 2 times damage. Because higher charge levels take longer to reach, the best damage per second comes from releasing the attack at level 1 rather than fully charging it.
