Ice Javelin

Ice Javelins are throwing weapons that can be found in snow cave chests or bought from the Hunter after defeating Evil’s Protector. The Hunter sells them for 30–40 coins per stack of 5 javelins. They are an early-game weapon, but their damage is unusually high for that stage of the game.

Their main strength is raw damage. Because of that, Ice Javelins are especially useful when fighting enemies that are difficult to burst down with weaker early weapons, and they are a solid choice for boss fights. Their downside is cost: even though they are strong, using them regularly can become expensive compared to more sustainable weapons.

Ice Javelins are best treated as a powerful consumable option rather than a general-purpose everyday weapon. They are most valuable when you need to deal high damage quickly, such as in dangerous encounters or fights where landing fewer, stronger hits is preferable to relying on a cheaper weapon. Since they are available from snow cave chests, they can also serve as a strong pickup while exploring snowy areas before or around the time the Hunter becomes a reliable source.
