Katana

Katana is a weapon found in the Plains surface biome. It has a 33% chance to generate in any Plains surface biome, and appears as a Katana Stone in the world.

Once obtained, Katana can be used as a crafting ingredient rather than only as a weapon. At a Tungsten Anvil, one Katana and 15 Tungsten Bars craft into a Reinforced Katana. At a Tungsten Landscaping Station, one Katana and 20 Stone craft into a Katana Stone. This makes Katana a progression item tied to both combat and biome exploration, since finding it depends on locating a Plains surface biome and then deciding whether to keep it or convert it into one of its upgraded or utility forms.
