Life Elixir

Life Elixir is a consumable item that permanently increases the player's maximum health by 10 when used. It can be consumed up to 10 times, for a total increase of 100 maximum health.

The bonus is added to the player's base health only. It does not take into account extra maximum health gained from Enchantments or Food effects, so the increase is applied separately from other temporary or conditional health modifiers. Because of this, Life Elixir is one of the most direct ways to improve survivability over the course of a playthrough.

Since it can only be used a limited number of times, it is best treated as a progression item rather than a repeatable healing source. Each use provides a permanent upgrade, so saving them until a character is ready to benefit from the extra health is generally worthwhile.
