Runestone

Overview
Runestone is a crafting material used in Necesse’s progression and equipment crafting. It is collected primarily in the plains caves, where it can be found as a drop from mining Runic Boulders and Small Rune Stones. It can also be obtained from runebound enemies and from Runestone Cavelings, making it a material that can be gathered both from mining and combat.
Because of that mixed acquisition pattern, Runestone is most naturally farmed while exploring and clearing plains caves rather than by focusing on a single source. Mining the rune-themed deposits gives a direct supply, while fighting the local enemies adds additional chances to collect it during normal cave traversal. Players looking to stockpile the material should treat plains cave exploration as the main source, since it combines node mining with enemy drops in the same area.
In practice, Runestone is the kind of resource that tends to accumulate as you move through cave content, especially if you thoroughly mine the environment and fully clear hostile groups. The presence of several different drop sources also means that even short cave runs can produce some amount of Runestone without requiring a dedicated farm setup.
