Cave Maple Tree

Cave Maple Tree is a plant that grows naturally in the Deep Plains Caves. It is one of the cave-grown tree objects and serves as a source of Maple Logs and Cave Maple Saplings.

Cave Maple Tree can also be grown by planting Cave Maple Saplings on terrain tiles. When planted, the sapling requires open space around it to develop properly: it will only grow into a Cave Maple Tree if there is at least one tile of distance between it and any other object. This makes spacing important when setting up a farm or replanting saplings in a confined area.

Because it yields both wood and more saplings, Cave Maple Tree is useful for establishing a renewable supply of materials once a few saplings have been collected. Players exploring the Deep Plains Caves can use naturally generated trees as a starting point, then transplant saplings to create a managed grove elsewhere.
