Mission Board

Overview
The Mission Board is a settlement object used to automatically assign settlers to missions. Missions are repeatable tasks that certain settlers can complete to bring back items from outside the settlement. While settlers can also be sent on a mission by speaking to them directly, the Mission Board provides a centralized way to choose and manage these assignments.
The board is especially relevant for expeditions, which are a type of mission that can be assigned to the Explorer settler. Expedition success is determined by your current quest progress, so advancing quests improves the outcome of this kind of mission. Once assigned, expeditions can send settlers to several different areas, including Cave, Snow Cave, Plains Cave, Swamp Cave, Desert Cave, Dungeon, and Pirate-related missions, with deeper variants also available for some biomes.
Expedition rewards are organized by mission type and by broad reward category, such as Materials, Equipment, Consumables, and sometimes Vinyls. Different expedition destinations draw from different reward pools, and deep expedition variants exist for some locations. Deep Cave and Deep Swamp Cave are notable for listing coin values in addition to their reward tables, with Deep Cave showing 765–1035 coins and Deep Swamp Cave showing 1020–1380 coins.
In practice, the Mission Board is useful when you want to keep settlers working without managing each one manually. It also makes it easier to handle expeditions as a regular settlement activity rather than a one-off interaction. Because expedition success is tied to quest progress, it is worth treating these missions as something that improves naturally as the game advances.
