Oak Bed

The Oak Bed is a furniture item used to decorate rooms and set a player's spawn point. It is crafted at a Carpenter's Bench and belongs to the wider family of beds in the game.

Like other beds, the Oak Bed is not just decorative: sleeping in it lets you recover health, and it can be used to fast forward time at 20× speed. In multiplayer, time will only fast forward when all players are in beds. If the bed that determines your spawn point is destroyed, your spawn point will revert to near the Elder's House.

A bed will only function if the room it is placed in is not too large. The maximum room size for a bed to work is 500 tiles; if the room exceeds that limit, you will receive the message "Cannot Set Spawn Outside".

• Use the Oak Bed as an early, reliable spawn-point setter for a base or safe house.
• Keep the room within the 500-tile limit so the bed remains functional.
• In multiplayer, coordinate with other players before sleeping if you want to advance time.
• Since beds also heal while sleeping, they are useful for recovery between fights or long trips.
