Palm Bed

Overview
Palm Bed is a furniture item used to decorate rooms, and it can be crafted at a Carpenters Bench. As a bed, it also functions as a spawn point, letting the player set their respawn location by interacting with it. It belongs to the broader family of beds in the game, which all share the same core utility even though they differ in appearance.
Like other beds, a Palm Bed provides healing while sleeping and can fast-forward time by 20 times the normal speed. This makes beds useful not only for setting a safe return point, but also for recovering health and skipping through the night. In multiplayer, however, time will only fast-forward if all players are currently in a bed, so everyone must sleep at the same time for the effect to work.
A few practical details affect how beds work in play:
- If the bed that contains your spawn point is destroyed, your spawn point reverts to near the elder's house.
- A bed will only function as a spawn point inside a room up to 500 tiles in size.
- If the room is too large, the game shows the message "Cannot Set Spawn Outside."
Because it is both a decorative object and a functional bed, the Palm Bed is useful in early and midgame housing setups where style and utility both matter. Placing one in a valid room lets it serve as part of a base’s sleeping area while also helping establish a dependable respawn location.
