Carpenters Bench

The Carpenters Bench is a crafting station used to make Furniture. It is one of the basic workstations for interior construction and decoration, and it serves as the starting point for later upgrades in the crafting chain. It can be upgraded into a Tungsten Carpenters Bench.

When placed, the Carpenters Bench lets the player craft furniture recipes that require this station. Its main practical advantage is that it can be linked to nearby storage: if the Use nearby inventories option is enabled, the bench can draw crafting materials from containers within a maximum distance of 5 tiles in any direction. This makes it much easier to craft from a workshop area without manually moving materials into the player’s inventory.

A few useful points:

• It is specifically used for crafting Furniture, not general tools or combat gear.
• Nearby containers only count when Use nearby inventories is checked.
• The container search range is limited to a square area with a maximum distance of ±5 tiles from the bench.
• Upgrading to a Tungsten Carpenters Bench improves it into a stronger version of the same station.
