Lava is a liquid tile found in Caves and Deep Caves. It can be collected with the Bucket, and buckets of lava can stack. Lava can also be placed on Terrain tiles.

Lava is hazardous to work around, but it is also easy to remove once you have the right tools. It can be destroyed by placing it on a block adjacent to Water tile or by using Landfill on it. This makes water one of the simplest ways to clear lava flows when building or exploring underground.

• Lava is a terrain liquid, so it interacts with the world differently from normal solid blocks.
• Because it can be bucketed and stacked, it is convenient to transport in quantity.
• Water will eliminate lava at the edge, so controlled flooding can be used to clean up small pools.
