Tomato Seeds can be found in underground chests in both Forest Caves and Snow Caves. They can also be purchased from the Farmer, and are available for purchase from the start of a new world, making them one of the easier seeds to obtain early on.

When planted, Tomato Seeds produce Tomatoes rather than a direct harvest of the seed itself. This makes them useful for establishing an early farm, especially if you want a steady supply of crops without relying on repeated exploration.
