Rubborb

Rubborb is an orb in Peglin that was introduced in the demo and renamed to its current form in Early Access. It is one of the few named orbs whose title includes the word “orb” directly, rather than folding it into a portmanteau; it was originally called Rubber Orb before the rename.

In version history, Rubborb first appeared in the Demo Release, then was renamed in the Early Access Release. A later update, v0.9.52, changed its behavior so that its bounce increases with the orb’s current level. That makes its scaling tied to upgrade progression rather than remaining fixed, so the orb becomes more effective as it is leveled.

The orb is notable mostly for its identity and evolution across development rather than for a large amount of separate trivia. Its name change is one of the clearer examples of Peglin’s ongoing naming and balancing adjustments during development, and the bounce-related change in v0.9.52 shows that its mechanics were still being tuned after release.
