Counterfeit Crits

Counterfeit Crits is a passive effect that transforms ordinary pegs into temporary critical pegs whenever a crit peg is hit. It appears as an on-hit conversion mechanic: each time any crit_peg is struck, a fixed number of regular pegs are converted into temp_crit pegs for the remainder of the shot.

The number converted is determined by the parameter TEMP_CRITS_CREATED_ON_CRIT_PEG_HIT and is applied immediately when a crit peg takes damage. Converted pegs behave as temporary critical pegs for that shot, granting critical behavior without permanently altering the peg layout.

• Triggers only when a crit_peg is hit; hits to non-crit pegs do not activate the conversion.
• Conversion quantity equals TEMP_CRITS_CREATED_ON_CRIT_PEG_HIT per crit peg hit.
• Converted pegs are temporary for the current shot and do not persist between turns.
