Cheese

Cheese is a cooking ingredient and artisan good made from milk using a Cheese Press. It can be sold, gifted, used in crafting-related activities, and aged further in a Cask after it has been produced. As an artisan good, it also fits into the game's processing and profit progression, especially once the player begins aging goods for higher quality.

Cheese can be placed in a Cask to age from normal quality to silver, then gold, and eventually iridium quality. Normal, silver, and gold Cheese can be removed early at any time by striking the Cask with an Axe, Hoe, or Pickaxe. Iridium quality Cheese sells for twice the base price of the normal version.

  • Iridium: 14 days total
• Only Cheese that has already been made can be aged; the process improves its quality over time.
• Early removal is possible for non-iridium Cheese if the player wants to reclaim it before it finishes aging.

Cheese also has a few utility uses outside of selling. It is used in the Sewing Machine spool to create a Shirt, and it can be used as a yellow dye at the dye pots in Emily and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.
