Mummified Bat

The Mummified Bat is a monster drop obtained by breaking rocks in the Volcano Dungeon, with a 1/200 chance. It is one of the rare items tied to Ginger Island progression and has a few specialized uses beyond being a collection item.

Most notably, the Mummified Bat can be donated to the Island Field Office, where it contributes to completion of the island collection and rewards 1 Golden Walnut. It can also be processed in the Bone Mill, where it may be turned into fertilizer and speed-boosting products, including Quality Fertilizer, Speed-Gro, Deluxe Speed-Gro, and Tree Fertilizer. This gives it practical value even after donation, especially if you find extra copies while exploring the Volcano Dungeon.

The item also has tailoring and dyeing uses. In a Sewing Machine, the Mummified Bat can be placed on the spool to create the Skeleton Shirt. It can also be used as a yellow dye ingredient at the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.
