Treasure Chest

The Treasure Chest is a special item that can be obtained through several rare sources. It is worth 5,000g when sold and is available as a gold-tier reward during the SquidFest festival.

Treasure Chests can be obtained from fishing-related rewards and other late-game sources, including:

• A 0.24% chance from a Fishing Treasure Chest after reaching Fishing level 2
• A 3.7% chance from an Artifact Trove
• A 0.8% chance from a Mystery Box
• A 1.57% chance from a Golden Mystery Box
• A 0.3% chance from a Spook Fish Fish Pond with a population of at least 9
• Digging at the red “X” on Secret Note #16
• The guaranteed gold-tier reward on Winter 13 during the SquidFest festival
• A random prize machine reward in Mayor’s Manor after the player has collected 22 prizes

The Treasure Chest is not used in any bundles or quests. It is used in the Sewing Machine spool and can also be used as yellow dye at the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house.

If gifted to Linus, he will refuse the Treasure Chest and return it to the player.
