Alien Tech Crate

Alien Tech Crate is a dungeon that generates in the Shimmering Frontier. At its center is a circular challenge arena with a glowing terminal and several Materializers arranged around it. Interacting with the terminal starts the encounter, causes a green ring to appear, and begins spawning enemies in waves from the Materializers.

The challenge is controlled by the terminal’s gauge. While the player remains inside the green ring, the gauge slowly fills; leaving the ring turns it red and causes it to deplete. When the gauge is fully filled, every enemy still in the room is removed and a reward chest appears in the center. If the gauge empties completely, the terminal deactivates and the remaining enemies are cleared, allowing the challenge to be attempted again later.

Until the challenge is completed, every object inside the arena is indestructible. Defeating every enemy is not required for completion, so the main objective is to keep the gauge filling rather than to clear the room by force. This makes movement and positioning more important than simply standing and fighting in one place.

The reward chest contains:

• 2–3 upgrade gems, depending on the biome the arena is found in:
  • Jungle Emerald in Azeos' Wilderness
  • Ocean Sapphire in the Sunken Sea
  • Desert Ruby in the Desert of Beginnings
• 4 random loot rolls
• Nuclear Battery, with a 20% chance if the Brave Merchant is already alive

Because the arena can stall if the player leaves the ring for too long, the safest approach is to stay within the active area and manage incoming waves while keeping pressure on the terminal gauge. If the gauge drains fully, the terminal shuts down and the encounter must be restarted, so maintaining control of the ring is the key to finishing the challenge efficiently.
