Workbench for creating complex machines.

Overview

The Automation Table is a crafting station used for electronics and automation. Together with the Electronics Table, it covers the electronic components used to build circuits and automated setups in Core Keeper.

It is part of the progression into more advanced electronic systems, where logic circuits are used to control blocks and devices. These systems are what make setups such as automatic mining, smelting, storage, and farming possible, using components like drills, conveyor belts, arms, wires, furnaces, and related automation parts.

In practice, the Automation Table is the station you rely on once you start moving beyond basic wiring and into larger automated builds. The game’s automation examples show it as the foundation for:

  • automatic mining rigs that gather ore boulders
  • smelting lines that move materials into furnaces
  • storage systems that unload finished goods
  • automated farming layouts for Wood, Coral Wood, and Gleam Wood

When building automated machines, it is important to plan for reliability and protection. Mining setups can be improved by collecting ore with arms and moving it into a furnace, then adding another arm to unload ingots into a chest to prevent the furnace from filling up. Automated devices should also be defended, since hostile mobs can destroy them; surrounding the setup with walls or clearing enemy spawn blocks helps keep production running.

For farming automation, simple layouts are easy to build, but more efficient designs often depend on careful placement of root plants so growth lines stay straight and do not leave gaps. These setups can also be expanded with Table Saws to automate plank production as well.
