Stag Beetle

Overview
The Stag Beetle is a critter found in the Bushlands and Tropics during the day in Spring. It appears on the trunks of trees rather than on the ground, so searching tree bark is the most reliable way to spot one.
Because it is a daytime Spring critter, it is easiest to look for while moving through wooded areas in clear weather and good visibility. Focus on trees in Bushlands and Tropics, and scan the trunks carefully; the Stag Beetle blends in well against bark and is easy to miss if you are only watching the ground.
