Wooden Torch

Wooden Torch is a placeable light source that can be crafted from the start of the game. Its recipe is available immediately at the Crafting Table inside the Base Tent Deed, and it can also be made at any other crafting station without needing to unlock it first. To craft it, you need a Mangrove Stick, so you must have a Logging Licence and a Basic Axe before you can gather the required material.

A Wooden Torch can be held in the player’s hand or placed directly on the ground. It provides portable lighting for early exploration and settlement work, making it useful before more advanced light sources become available. Despite the tooltip wording, it does not burn out, so once placed it remains a permanent light source.
