The Banner of Defense is a hand-held item that grants nearby players a defense buff, reducing damage taken to 90% of normal while it is being held. It is also a placeable banner item, meaning it can be mounted in a Banner Stand for display or use.

Because its effect applies to nearby players, it is useful when staying close to allies during combat, especially in group fights or while defending a fixed position. The item does not need to be equipped as armor; simply holding it is enough to provide the buff.
