Bashy Bush

Overview
Bashy Bush is a hostile bush enemy found hidden among raspberry bushes in the research branch of the Dungeon Entrance. It blends in with the surrounding vegetation until a player gets close or it is damaged, at which point it becomes hostile and can be automatically targeted by summons. Like Stabby Bush, it is designed to ambush players who do not inspect the area carefully.
When Bashy Bush hits a player, it enters a frenzied state for 8 seconds and its attack speed increases. This works similarly to the Bashy Bush summon, which gains the same speed boost after 5 attacks. The increased attack speed does not start immediately, however: the buff only begins to apply after the next attack, so there is a short delay of 2 attacks before the faster speed takes effect.
The Bashy Bush summon item is listed as treasure rather than a mob drop. Bashy Bush itself also does not have a journal entry, which makes it stand out from many other enemies. Whether this is intentional or a bug is not stated in-game.
- Bashy Bush is easy to miss because it is hidden among other raspberry bushes.
- Proximity or damage will trigger it, so cautious movement and area clearing help avoid surprise attacks.
- Summons can automatically target it once it reveals itself, making them useful in the Dungeon Entrance’s brush-filled sections.
- Its frenzy after landing a hit makes repeated close-range trading risky, especially if you let it keep attacking without interruption.
