Elder Hat

The Elder Hat is a head slot cosmetic item. It can be bought from the Stylist, or obtained as a drop when the Elder dies. It is part of the Elder Set, so it matches the rest of that cosmetic lineup.

If you want to obtain it through the Elder rather than from the Stylist, the Elder is not limited to direct player attacks: raiders and monsters can also kill the NPC and cause the drop. In practice, the most reliable way to force the drop is to restrict the Elder’s movement using Settlement commands and set up a trap connected to a timer mechanism. NPCs can take trap damage, and a pulse every 22 ticks is the fastest effective interval mentioned for this setup.
