Spear
Overview
Spear is a weapon item in Necesse. Like other early-game weapons, it fits into the game’s broader weapon progression, where basic gear is crafted at the Iron Anvil and more advanced weapons are often found in chests around the world. Weapons in general cover a wide range of attack styles, from swords and bows to guns, boomerangs, and magic weapons.
As with most combat equipment, a spear benefits from the normal systems that improve gear over time. Most weapons can be enchanted by a friendly Mage for a cost, and better enchantments can make a noticeable difference when preparing for the next challenge. Since weapons are often part of a player’s long-term loadout, it is worth comparing them against your current gear and the enemies you expect to face.
- Early weapons are crafted at the Iron Anvil.
- More advanced weapons are commonly found in world chests.
- Most weapons can be enchanted for improved stats.
- Settlements can be useful for steady access to traders, crafting support, and other progression resources.
In practice, a spear should be treated as part of your general weapon collection rather than as a special-use tool. Its value depends on how it compares to other weapons you can make or find at the same point in progression, and on how well it works with your current enchantments and combat setup.
