Wood Shield

The Wood Shield is a basic shield that lets the player block the first attack that hits them while actively blocking. A successful block reduces the damage by 40% and consumes all stamina for that block.

Blocking with the Wood Shield uses stamina, which is shown in the buffs list. The shield can be held up for about 2 seconds before stamina is exhausted, and stamina takes about 3 seconds to regenerate from empty to full. After stopping a block there is a short delay before regeneration begins, and if all stamina is used up this delay becomes longer; during that time, stamina cannot be used again until it has fully recovered.

• It only blocks the first hit that connects while blocking.
• Successful blocks reduce the incoming damage rather than negating it completely.
