Arrow Trap

Overview
Arrow Trap is a trap object found in Forest Caves that fires an arrow when triggered. It is a placeable dungeon-style hazard rather than a combat weapon, and it is typically encountered as part of cave defenses or environmental threats.
The trap can also be wired using Wiring tools and items, which makes it useful in player-built mechanisms as well as in its natural dungeon setting. When activated, it fires at a target within a range of 13 tiles, then enters a cooldown of 20 ticks. This gives it a firing cycle of about 1 second, so repeated triggering is possible if something remains in range or if the trap is integrated into a looped wiring setup.
In practice, Arrow Trap is best treated as a simple but reliable ranged hazard. Its fixed range and short cooldown make it effective for guarding narrow passages, entrances, or compact kill corridors. Because it uses arrows rather than area damage, it is most effective when enemies are forced to pass directly in front of it. When recovering or repurposing one from a cave, wiring support lets it be incorporated into automated defenses without needing to rely on its original placement.
