Yule Tree

Overview
The Yule Tree is a seasonal decorative building available only during the winter holiday period, starting on December 1. It can be placed like other player-built structures, and once built it remains in the world after the holiday ends. The tree stays until it is destroyed by the player or by creatures, so it can be kept as a permanent decoration if protected.
Its main practical effect is to provide +1 comfort within a radius of 10 meters, making it useful in and around homes, halls, and other resting areas. Because comfort bonuses stack with other nearby furnishings, the Yule Tree is often placed where players already gather to rest, eat, or spend time at a base. Its effect makes it a simple way to raise comfort without changing a room’s function.
A few practical notes:
- It is only available for construction during the holiday period.
- After being built, it does not disappear when the seasonal event ends.
- It can be permanently maintained unless damaged or destroyed.
- Its comfort bonus applies in a 10 m area, so placement matters if you want the bonus to reach a bed, chair, or resting spot.
- Since it is decorative, it is best placed where it will not block movement or crafting access.
Because it is a limited-time holiday build that remains usable afterward, the Yule Tree is one of the few seasonal items that can become part of a long-term settlement layout.
