Greyling

Overview
Greylings are small, tree-like hostile creatures found only in the Meadows. They are among the first enemies a player is likely to meet in Valheim, alongside Necks and Boars. In lore, they are described as the remains of sinful humans, reborn from seeds that grow out of the ground. They have very little health and are easy to defeat, even with fists.
In combat, a Greyling moves straight toward the player and uses a simple scratching attack: it swings one hand in a 90-degree horizontal arc, dealing 5 Slash damage at close range. The attack can be used every 2 seconds when the target is within 1.2 meters. After attacking three times, it runs in a circle away from the player before coming back in to attack again.
Greylings are especially vulnerable to fire. Like Boars, they are frightened by flame and will flee from a player holding a Torch, while also taking increased fire damage. This makes a Torch a very effective early-game tool for dealing with them and other early threats.
