Deer Trophy

A fine specimen but you'll need to kill more than deer to enter Valhalla.
Overview
The Deer trophy is a deer drop in Valheim and one of the earliest trophies players can obtain. It is most commonly used as a progression item rather than as simple decoration: two Deer trophies are required at the Mystical Altar to summon Eikthyr, the first Forsaken boss. Deer trophies also have a crafting use, since two are needed to make Stagbreaker.
Deer trophies drop from deer, with a 50% chance on death. Like other trophies, they can be displayed on an Item Stand as house decoration. They can also be used to program a Ballista, making them useful even after the early-game boss summon has been completed.
- Required to summon Eikthyr at the Mystical Altar: 2 Deer trophies
- Required to craft Stagbreaker: 2 Deer trophies
- Can be placed on an Item Stand
- Can be used to program a Ballista
Because deer are common in the Meadows, Deer trophies are usually among the first trophy items a player collects. Their main value lies in the fact that they gate both an important boss summoning step and an early blunt weapon recipe, so it is worth saving a few instead of immediately treating them as disposable loot.
