Serpent Stew

Smells of honey and serpent...
Overview
Serpent stew is a cooked food item made in a level 2 Cauldron. It is one of the strongest pre-Mistlands foods, and remains useful well into the Mistlands because of its high health bonus and solid stamina gain. After the Hearth & Home update, cooking it requires a Cauldron with at least one upgrade, such as the Spice Rack.
In terms of stats, Serpent stew grants 80 health, 26 stamina, and 4 health per tick over 1500 seconds. It is tied with Meat Platter and Honey Glazed Chicken for health and stamina gain, but its healing is lower than those Mistlands-tier foods, which heal for 5 health per tick. Even so, its long duration and strong raw bonuses make it a dependable choice for exploration, combat, and extended expeditions.
A few practical points stand out:
- Serpent stew provides unusually high health for its tier, making it especially valuable for players who want a larger survivability buffer.
- It is lighter than its main ingredient; although Serpent Meat weighs 10 units, the finished stew weighs only 1 unit.
- The recipe becomes available only after the required ingredients are in the player’s inventory.
- Because it is crafted in a Cauldron with an upgrade, it is not available at the earliest cooking tier.
Overall, Serpent stew is a high-value food for characters built around durability and sustained adventuring. Its combination of strong health, respectable stamina, and long duration keeps it relevant far beyond the biome tier in which it is first introduced.
