Club

A crude but useful weapon.
Overview
The Club is the earliest one-handed blunt weapon in Valheim. It is available from the start of the game and is a simple, low-cost option for new characters, especially before better weapons become available. Because it deals blunt damage, it is particularly effective against Skeletons, which take extra damage from that damage type.
The Club does not have a secondary attack. Its primary attack is a three-hit combo, with the third strike dealing double damage. The attack has a 2.4 m range, a 90-degree arc, and costs 6 stamina per swing. The combo takes about 2.46 seconds to complete, and the player moves forward slightly with each strike.
- Crafting: 6 Wood
- Upgrades: 5, 10, and 15 Bone Fragments for qualities 2, 3, and 4
- Durability: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250
- Blunt damage: 12 / 18 / 24 / 30
- Block force: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35
- Parry force: 6 / 7.5 / 9
- Parry bonus: 2x
- Sneak attack: 3x
- Movement speed penalty: -5%
At quality 1, the Club is fairly weak compared to other early weapons, and a Flint Axe may sometimes be the better choice. It becomes much more useful after upgrading, since the blunt damage scales well and improves its performance against armored or skeleton-type enemies. Its low material cost also makes it a practical backup weapon for recovering a corpse in moderately dangerous areas.
