Gutfish Unagi

Gutfish Unagi is a harvestable plant item that can be found as a wild resource in several late-game areas. A single specimen can be found in the Mines of Manufacturing West, one grows from a drain in a detainment cell near the tram station in the Containment Block, four can be found in The Night Realm, and one can be found in Divarcation in Fragments.

Unlike other harvestable plants, Gutfish Unagi does not have a renewable seed source outside of its naturally regenerating wild plants. Scrapping one yields only a single seed, and harvesting plants grown in a Garden Plot does not produce extra seeds, so it is not a reliable crop for self-sustaining cultivation.

It can be deployed on any flat horizontal surface. After being placed, it quickly grows a large web of vines in a roughly 180-degree arc facing the direction it was placed. These vines do not affect the player, which makes the plant useful as a defensive barrier or trap against certain enemies.

• Place it with care, since the vine spread is directional and covers only one broad side.
• Because planted specimens do not return extra seeds, field collection is the best way to expand your supply.
• Its lack of effect on the player makes it safe to use in tight corridors or near work areas where you need enemy control without blocking movement.
