Official description

A useful calendar that will attract a shady merchant when placed in a habitable room. Depending on the season, he will put on different costumes and offer new items.

Overview

The Seasonal Calendar is associated with Core Keeper's seasonal events, a set of themed limited-time activities that are activated by the device's date or by gameplay settings. When a seasonal event is active, it can add unique items, creatures, and drops to the world.

The calendar covers several recurring event windows throughout the year:

  • January 31 – February 13: Red Envelopes appear on the ground and can be used to obtain Lucky Coins, which are traded with the Seasonal Merchant.
  • February 14 – February 27: Love Letters appear on the ground and can be picked up and traded with the Seasonal Merchant.
  • March 8 – March 21: An anniversary mini event in which the Seasonal Merchant sells anniversary-related wares, while the items used to trade for them are available year-round.
  • March 22 – March 31: Cherry blossoms appear on the ground and can be picked up and crafted into cherry trees.
  • April 5 – April 16: Some enemies and destructibles drop colored eggs that can be traded with the Seasonal Merchant. One possible reward is the Large Golden Egg, which is used to summon Awakened Azeos, a variant of Azeos the Sky Titan that drops additional Easter-themed loot.
  • October 25 – November 7: Some enemies wear costumes and drop Samhain Goodie Bags containing Halloween-themed items.
  • December 14 – January 4: Some enemies dress festively and drop seasonal items such as snowballs and Cookies and Milk, which can be exchanged with the Seasonal Merchant for rewards including Little helperling, a creature that gives presents in exchange for food items.

Seasonal events can also be turned on or off outside their normal dates using the Override season gameplay setting, and they can be triggered by changing the device's date.
