Overview

Azeos the Sky Titan is one of the titans in Core Keeper and is commonly considered the easiest one to tackle first. It appears in Azeos’ Wilderness, and its arena is located roughly 550 tiles from The Core. An Azeos the Sky Titan Scanner can reveal the arena on the map, but the boss itself is summoned by placing a Large Shiny Glimmering Object in the center of the arena.

Preparation matters more than raw damage for this fight. It is recommended to place a bed and a protected respawn room nearby so you can return quickly if you die without causing Azeos to despawn. The pits around the arena should be filled in before the fight begins, and food that increases dodge chance makes the encounter much safer. Azeos can also be fought in its Easter variant by using a Large Golden Egg instead of a Large Shiny Glimmering Object.

Azeos cycles through five attack patterns. It can summon rows of thunder beams from the left and right, rows from above and below, a spinning ring of beams that closes in and then expands back out, a scattered cluster of beams that move in random directions, and blue crystals that must be destroyed with mining damage such as pickaxes or explosives. The crystals are especially dangerous because they block projectiles and, once charged by a thunder beam, will heal Azeos until broken. After each attack pattern, Azeos teleports and begins another one. At 40% health it becomes enraged, causing thunder beams to move 40% faster.

Poison is extremely effective against Azeos, reducing the healing it receives from blue crystals by 75%. This makes poison-based weapons and effects such as the Blowpipe, Poisonous Sickle, Samhain Curse Ring, and Fanhare particularly valuable. Shields help reduce damage from thunder beams, and healing potions, especially Greater Healing Potions, together with Guardian’s Potions, make the fight much more forgiving. Large Bombs or Bombs can also be used to destroy crystals quickly, giving more time to attack and dodge; Crude Bombs are not strong enough for this purpose.

Azeos can be approached with either melee or ranged builds. Melee fighters can stay aggressive while dodging projectiles, while ranged players can keep their distance and attack between patterns. If all players die or leave the area, Azeos disappears and must be summoned again with a new Large Shiny Glimmering Object. After defeat, Azeos drops its reward and grants its soul, which allows the player to spawn a thunder beam on hit.
