Crydra the Ice Titan

Overview
Crydra the Ice Titan is a boss found in the Sunken Sea. It travels underground in a circular path and cannot be harmed until it is summoned to the surface with a Wind Organ of Ice placed close enough to its position. A Crydra the Ice Titan Scanner can be used to reveal its exact location on the map, which is helpful if it is moving outside the visible area. After being defeated, Crydra respawns at a random location in the Sunken Sea once its soul disappears, which takes about 5–6 minutes.
To start the fight, players should clear a large open arena, bring food, and prepare both melee and ranged weapons. The Wind Organ of Ice is crafted from the Hydra Altar recipe, and additional defenses such as spike traps or turrets can be placed if desired. Once the organ is placed near Crydra, a loud rumbling indicates that the boss has been summoned. If the summoning fails, break the organ, wait a moment, and place it again.
Crydra does not fight alone. It spawns together with an invulnerable copy of Druidra the Wild Titan, and the two bosses alternate between burrowing underground and reappearing in new positions. Both can slam into nearby players after surfacing and fire a tracking yellow beam from their mouths. They also each have one unique attack: Crydra creates an ice crystal that continuously fires volleys of ice shards in a spiral pattern, while Druidra causes blocks to fall from the sky and then prepares a shockwave that can deal heavy damage and destroy exposed blocks.
Crydra has protective armor shown by the yellow bar above its health bar. This armor absorbs incoming damage until it is depleted, at which point Crydra becomes paralyzed and falls to the ground, making it vulnerable. During this period, Druidra continues attacking normally, so the player still has to avoid the partner titan while focusing damage on Crydra. After about 9.3 seconds, Crydra recovers, regains its armor, and resumes the fight. Its vulnerable damage is soft-capped at 25% of its maximum health per paralysis cycle, so the boss must be paralyzed at least four times to defeat it.
A good strategy is to keep both melee and ranged weapons ready:
- Use ranged attacks to remove Crydra’s armor safely.
- Switch to melee when Crydra is paralyzed and lying on the ground.
- Destroy the ice crystal quickly, since it becomes more dangerous the longer it stays active.
- For Druidra’s shockwave, either move far enough away or hide behind blocks created by the cave-in.
- Be ready to dodge the burrow and resurfacing damage when either titan changes position.
Defeating Crydra rewards the Soul of Crydra.
