Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands

Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands is an optional end-game boss found in the Desert of Beginnings. Unlike most bosses, she does not appear during world generation; instead, the player must locate her dungeon in the desert and activate the rune inside with Corrupted Sap to summon her.

A Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands Scanner can be used to reveal the dungeon’s location on the map, making it the most direct way to reach the fight. Once inside, the encounter centers on her main body, which is the primary target throughout the battle.

Nimruza is a late-game boss, so high-tier ranged and magic weapons are especially effective. Weapons such as the Phantom Spark and the Sun Caller are strong choices, while the Stormbringer is also viable if the player is comfortable with a riskier approach. Armor that increases range or magic damage, such as the Arcane Monk Armor and the Cosmos Armor, also complements the fight well. Bringing health potions is recommended, since the battle can become dangerous very quickly.

During the fight, Nimruza summons Cicadas, usually two at a time. These summons deal significant damage and should be dealt with immediately if possible, either by destroying them quickly or by dodging around them while keeping pressure on Nimruza herself. Her attacks also include powerful claw strikes and beam attacks, and later in the battle she enters an enrage phase with increased speed and energy beams, making movement and spacing more important.

Nimruza’s dialogue reflects her role as a formidable conqueror, with lines such as “A fellow conqueror. Your triumphs have been observed from afar.” and “How regrettable.” These reinforce her presentation as a powerful late-game opponent rather than a standard dungeon boss.
