Snag

Snag is a special food item obtained from Fletch during Island Day. To receive one, talk to Fletch between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Island Day. In multiplayer, you must arrive on the island before 12:00 pm in order to ask Fletch for a snag.

Eating a snag permanently increases the player’s hunger pie by one slice, raising it from 3 to 4. This increase is permanent, and each character can gain at most 2 additional hunger pie slices in total, up to a maximum of 5. Only one snag is offered per character each Island Day, so getting more usually means waiting for the next event or visiting a friend’s island during Island Day.

A snag also grants a buff that increases XP gained, making it especially useful when leveling slower skills such as farming.
