Fish breeding
Overview
Fish breeding is a recipe unlocked in the Space Age that enables automated production of
Bred Raw fish always begin with a freshness value fixed at 100%. The freshness lifetime for Raw fish produced by Fish breeding is 2 hours 5 minutes 50 seconds in real time; after that period the item is considered expired and cannot be used for purposes that require fresh Raw fish. The Fish breeding technology is the prerequisite for this automated production path and must be researched before the recipe can be used.
- Fish breeding is a late-game automation option unlocked by research in the Space Age.
- Raw fish produced by Fish breeding start at 100% freshness and have a shelf life of 2:05:50.
- The recipe enables automated generation of Raw fish items, reducing or replacing the need to collect Raw fish manually.
- Research the Fish breeding technology to unlock the recipe; the technology is a Space Age research requirement.
Implementation and logistics follow standard recipe mechanics for late-game production: the recipe produces discrete Raw fish items which enter the player’s inventory or connected storage. Because bred Raw fish have a defined initial freshness and finite shelf life, players should plan consumption or processing paths (such as uses that accept Raw fish) to avoid losses from expiration.
