Fertilizer is a farming item used on Crops to speed up their growth. It can be crafted in a Compost Bin from any Raw Food, Flowers, Seeds, Saplings, or Spoiled Food, making it a practical way to turn many common plant-based materials into a useful farming boost.

When applied, Fertilizer increases a crop’s growth speed by 2x. This makes it especially valuable for improving field productivity, since fertilized crops mature in half the time of unfertilized ones. The Farmer will also apply Fertilizer automatically to crops inside fertilize zones, which allows large farming areas to be maintained with less manual work.
