Gateway Tablet

Overview
A Gateway Tablet is an item that unlocks access to Incursions. The player’s first one is dropped by the Fallen Wizard, and it can be used to craft a Fallen Altar. Placing the Tablet into the Fallen Altar opens the Incursion linked to that Tablet, so each Tablet serves as a key to a single specific Incursion.
Gateway Tablets do not appear in-game under the name “Gateway Tablet.” Instead, they are named after their Incursion Biome plus Tablet, such as Forest Deep Cave Tablet or Graveyard Tablet. The tooltip for a Tablet lists its Incursion Biome, Tier, Special Rewards, and Incursion Modifier.
Gateway Tablets can be obtained in several ways:
- The Fallen Wizard drops the first Tablet.
- Enemies in any Incursion type, including Extraction Incursions, can drop Gateway Tablets as an uncommon drop.
- The incursion boss always drops one as a Special Reward Drop.
- Tablets with a minimum tier of 1 can be crafted at the Fallen Workstation.
- Tablets with a minimum tier of 2 or higher cannot be crafted and must be obtained through drops or rewards.
Tablets can also be upgraded at the Upgrade Station. Upgrading increases the Tablet’s tier by 1 and rerolls the Special Rewards and Incursion Modifiers, while keeping the Incursion Biome and Incursion Type the same. For example, a Tier 7 Forest Deep Cave Hunt Tablet becomes a Tier 8 Forest Deep Cave Hunt Tablet with different rewards and modifiers. The upgrade cost is 25 times the Tablet’s current tier in Upgrade Shards.
