The Lunchbox is a portable food container with 10 slots that stores picked-up food items. It is obtained as a unique settlement quest reward from the Elder, and after completing the Queen Spider quest it becomes available for purchase from the Elder as well.

Its main purpose is convenience: when used, it automatically consumes the first food item stored inside. This makes it useful for keeping emergency meals ready without having to open a separate inventory or manually eat from your main storage. Because each Lunchbox has its own independent inventory, carrying two or more of them increases the total amount of food you can keep organized this way rather than sharing a single pool of slots.

The Lunchbox also slows food spoilage by 50%, making food last twice as long before it spoils. This makes it valuable not only as a quick-access food container, but also as a practical way to extend the shelf life of perishables during long trips or while stockpiling food for settlement use.
