Wind Boots

Wind Boots are a movement accessory that upgrade Zephyr Boots and can later be used to craft Ghost Boots. They are built around mobility rather than defense, giving the wearer a fast dash with a short cooldown, but they do not provide any damage immunity or knockback immunity while dashing.

Their dash has a 3 second cooldown. During the dash, Wind Boots grant +10 movement speed and +40% movement speed, making them useful for crossing terrain quickly, closing distance, or repositioning in combat. Because the dash offers no invulnerability window, it is strongest as a mobility tool and less reliable as an evasive defensive option than later upgrades.

Compared with Ghost Boots, Wind Boots sit on the earlier side of the upgrade path. Ghost Boots increase the dash cooldown to 6 seconds, but in return they add a short period of damage and knockback immunity during the dash. This makes Wind Boots the faster, more responsive option, while Ghost Boots trade some dash frequency for safer movement.

In practice, Wind Boots are most valuable when constant repositioning matters more than protection. Their short cooldown lets you weave dashes into travel and combat more often, which is especially helpful in open areas or when keeping momentum is important. Since the dash does not prevent damage or pushback, timing is still important when using them against enemies with strong hit effects.
